Agreement

These terms apply to your use of the My List app. By installing and using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

My List is distributed through the App Store, so Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Where these terms and Apple's licence conflict, Apple's licence governs.

Your licence

You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use My List on devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms. You may not redistribute, resell, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the source of the app, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.

Your content

Your lists, their chosen colours, items, reminder schedules, reusable item history, and pictures remain yours. The developer claims no ownership over them and, as described in the Privacy Policy, has no access to them. You are responsible for the content you put into the app and for having the right to use any picture you attach.

Shared lists

Creating a new share for a list you own requires an active sharing subscription. Sharing is also the one place your content reaches other people, so it is worth being explicit:

• When you share a list, everyone you invite can see everything in it, including attached pictures. Do not put anything in a shared list that you would not want those people to see.
• Granting can edit access lets a participant change the list colour and change, add, or delete items on that list. Those changes affect everyone on the share, including you.
• You are responsible for who you invite and for reviewing a share's participants. You can change access or stop sharing at any time.
• If someone shares a list with you, respect how they have asked you to use it. Do not redistribute someone else's list content without their agreement.
• Sharing is delivered by Apple's iCloud sharing, so it depends on Apple's services and on each participant having a working Apple Account.

Subscriptions

An active sharing subscription lets you create a new share for a list you own. Everything else in My List remains free, including private lists, iCloud sync, reminders, widgets, the Apple Watch app, and viewing or editing a list someone else shares with you. Participants never need a subscription of their own.

You can choose US$0.99 a week or US$29.99 a year. These base prices are in United States dollars. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm your purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period, and your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before that period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings.

If your subscription ends, My List gives you a 7-day warning. During that time you can keep managing existing shares, but you cannot create a new one. After those 7 days, lists you shared automatically stop being shared and participants lose access. Your own lists and all of their items stay in My List and are not deleted. Refunds are handled by Apple and may end sharing immediately.

Acceptable use

Do not use My List to store or share unlawful content, to harass anyone, or to infringe anyone's rights. Do not attempt to interfere with the app's operation or with other people's data.

iCloud and availability

Sync and sharing rely on Apple's iCloud. Availability, storage limits, and account requirements are set by Apple and are outside the developer's control. The app is designed to keep working on your device when iCloud is unavailable, but sync and sharing will not function without it.

Back up your data

My List is a convenience, not a system of record. Keep your own backups of anything you cannot afford to lose. Deleting a list is immediate and removes it for every participant.

No warranty

The app is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Your use of the app is at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the app.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right you have that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including rights under consumer protection law.

Changes

These terms may be updated. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
